A DIALOGUE ON THE FUTURE OF POLICING

Our Day of Dialogue will be facilitated by the Institute of Non- Violence in LA that is headed by Avis Ridley-Thomas. The INVLA will provide trained facilitators and an inform-
ative brochure with questions for small group discussion to help participants delve into the future of policing. More and more people are talking about reforming police culture in light of an epidemic of racial profiling and the use of excessive force, both on a national and local level.

The event will be co-sponsored by the Human Relations Coun-
cil ofSanta Monica, NAACP Santa Monica/Venice chapter, Afri-
can American Parent/Student/Staff Support Group, and the Church in Ocean Park.

Free extra parking will be available at the SMMUSD parking lot on the West side of 4th St. between Hill St. and Ashland.
