SMVote.org Is Source for Local Election Info/News

The City of Santa Monica has launched SMVote.org, a website developed and optimized specifically to provide users with a wide range of information pertaining to the upcoming Nov. 6 municipal election.

The website contains not only election information and links, but also features local programming from government access television station CityTV 16 Santa Monica. These election-oriented videos can also be viewed 24/7 on cable channel 99.

Presented by the League of Women Voters of Santa Monica Education Fund, the Center for Governmental Studies, the Santa Monica City Clerk’s Office and CityTV of Santa Monica, SMVote.org features detailed information regarding Santa Monica candidates and ballot measures. The technologies used to develop the site enable it to effortlessly adapt to user devices and preferences, providing a consistent user experience for those on mobile phones, tablets, and desktops alike.

New features on the website enable visitors to switch from written English to Spanish with the click of the mouse. A Google Maps-based feature allows for users to pinpoint their poll location based on their residence.

The site is now live and can be viewed at SMVote.org.
