BIKERS BURN RUBBER FOR VETS SUNDAY
The second annual motorcycle ride to benefit the residents of he New Veterans Home of California, West Los Angeles will end Sunday, September 23, at the VA in West L.A. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Elmer Armstrong of the Platters, the Hot Flashes, singer/actress
Rebecca Holden, Devorah Gottesman, Conspiracy Band, Lorenzo Lamas Bike Show, and the Laker Girls will perform.
The second edition of West Coast “Bikers Helping Veterans” Charity Ride to benefit residents of the new Veterans Home of California in West Los Angeles will feature a patriotic program with a flag ceremony, vendors, music, food & BBQ, and raffles.
Anyone who wishes to honor and support resident Veterans and the new Veterans Home, and to pay tribute to their service is invited. A $25 entry fee for ride-ins, or walk-ins is a donation to the Veterans Home.
Veterans Home of California, West Los Angeles, is located at 11500 Nimitz Avenue, Los Angeles, on the campus of the VA Hospital, north of Wilshire Blvd.)
It’s a new 396-bed long-term, assisted living and skilled nursing facility for Veterans.
The ride, in which hundreds of riders are expected to participate.
will leave Barger Harley Davison Sunday morning at 22107 Sherman Way at 9 a.m., take Mulholland to Topanga to PCH to the 10 to Wilshire to Federal to the VA.
