The Democratic Convention will get underway next Tuesday in Charlotte, South Carolina, and the Pacific Palisades Democratic Club Westside Democratic headquarters, in partnership with Organizing for America – California and the Westside Democratic Club, will have its grand opening on Thursday on the Third Street
Promenade.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled at noon, with a speech-watching party starting at 4:30 when President Barack Obama makes his acceptance speech.

Congressman Henry Waxman, Santa Monica Mayor Richard Bloom, and L.A. Deputy Mayor for Neighborhood & Community Services Torie Osborn will attend.
