EARTHQUAKE RATTLES, DOESN’T ROLL
Shortly after 3 a.m. this morning, a 3.74 earthquake rattled across Southern California. It was brief, and mild, and thus far there have been no reports of damage.
According to the seismologists at the U.S. Geological Survey, the epicenter was two miles east-southeast of Marina del Ray near Culver City, and was felt as far away as Riverside and the San Fernando Valley.
In Santa Monica, it felt and sounded like a door slamming.
