DEVELOPER GIVES OVER $8,000 TO COUNCIL MEMBERS
The Transparency Project has tallied Village Trailer Park project donations to Santa Monica City Council members.
In the last two elections, individuals associated with the proposed Village Trailer Park project (the Luzzattos – Marc, Barbara, Asher, and Evan) donated a total of $3,250 to the campaigns of five current Council members (Bloom, Davis, Holbrook, O’Connor, and O’Day).
An additional $5,000 was donated for Independent Expenditure by Santa Monicans for Quality Government for the benefit of two Council members (Holbrook and O’Day).
This makes a a total of $8,250 in donations from the Village Trailer Park project and its associated individuals.
Breakdown:
Richard Bloom (2008) – $250 to his 2008 campaign from Barbara Luzzato.
Gleam Davis (2010) – $250 to her 2010 campaign from Marc Luzzatto.
Bob Holbrook (2010) – $1,000 to his 2010 campaign ($250 each from Marc, Barbara, Asher and Evan Luzzatto). Another $2,500 was donated to Santa Monicans for Quality Government for Councilman Holbrook’s benefit, for a grand total of $3,500.
Pam O’Connor (2010) – $1,000 to her 2010 campaign ($250 each from Marc, Barbara, Asher and Evan Luzzatto).
Terry O’Day (2010) – $750 to his 2010 campaign ($250 each from Marc, Barbara and Evan Luzzatto). Another $2,500 was donated to Santa Monicans for Quality Government for Councilman O’Day’s benefit, for a grand total of $3,250.
There were no donations from the Village Trailer Park project or its associated individuals to Council members Kevin McKeown or Bobby Shriver.
