At the Friends of Sunset Park annual meeting on Saturday (see story below) a possible Santa Monica College $295 million bond issue will be discussed.

SMC trustee David Finkel will speak in favor of the possible measure and longtime SMC employee Phil Hendricks will oppose it. They will be followed by a general discussion. The bond presentation will take place at abaci 2:45 p.m.

In an email, Hendricks wrote, “I was pivotal in raising $2,000 through my union in support of the last College Bond Prop. U. I have supported all other school bonds and parcel taxes.”
